Please note that all entitlement programs have specific eligibility requirements.  Your Social Services Caseworker will be able to screen you for programs that you qualify for based on income and assets.  Caseworkers assist clients in completing applications and providing information and referrals.  Please visit the "Resources" tab for additional information.

Pharmaceutical Assistance

  • Assistance with Medicare Part C (Advantage) or Part D enrollment 
  • Medicaid
  • Generic Discount Programs
  • Pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Programs
  • Low income subsidy "extra help" from Social Security - Application filing assistance
  • Troubleshooting with insurance plans or pharmacies

  • Medicaid
    • State assistance for medical bills

    • Also known as Food Stamps or LINK Card
    • Provides monthly assistance toward grocery bill
  • Medicare Savings Program
    • Provides assistance with Medicare Part B premiums, deductibles and co-insurances
  • RTA Free Ride Transit Pass
    • Transit pass to ride free on all public fixed route mass transit
  • Benefit Access License Plate Discount
    • Annual $77 discount off the cost of one vehicle's registration
  • ACCESS Internet Discount Program
    • Discounted internet service through AT&T
    • Must live in an area where AT&T serves

Senior Will Program

Hanover Township Aging Services is a site for the Senior Will Program that offers senior citizens one free, will-related consultation with a lawyer.  If the client wishes, the low-cost preparation of a Living Will and Durable Power of Healthcare and Property can be drafted.  The program is sponsored by the Chicago Bar Association Referral Services.  Participating lawyers are supplied by the Chicago Bar Association and have experience in Will preparation.  The lawyer is available monthly by appointment. Additional services may be available for a free.  Please contact Social Services at (630) 483-5660 schedule your appointment.
