Recent highlights from the Department of Emergency Services:Bartlett Plan Crash

  • Hanover Township Emergency Services received re-certification from the Cook County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management in March of 2016. HTES is the only certified emergency response unit in the county. 

  • Designated as by the Department of Homeland Security as one of 13 agencies serving as hub to Cook County Department of homeland security during significant events in Cook County

  • Recognized weather spotters by National Weather Service that conduct weather spotting activities  during severe weather situations

  • Ground Search and Rescue team validated by the Illinois Search and Rescue council, one of only 9 teams in Illinois to receive this validation

  • Highly regarded annual Training Conference attended by over seventy participants from seventeen agencies in Illinois and Indiana

  • Regularly assist area first responders traffic control, security, emergency lighting, water removal, search and rescue, damage assessment and debris removal.
