June is Pride Month and this presentation will chart a history of the modern-day LGBTQ rights movements, from the 1800s through Stonewall and into the present day of 2026. Topics will include key figures and organizations, landmark legal battles, and a discussion of the diverse strategies that activists have employed, as well as a consideration of successes and setbacks. Questions are highly encouraged! Presented by Aster Gilbert from the Center on Halsted.
