Hanover Township Office of Community Health is proud to host the Township's 11th annual Sprint 2 Spring 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026.
The event aims to promote health and wellness while fundraising for the Hanover Township Foundation. Proceeds from the race will go to the Hanover Township Foundation to assist Township residents experiencing financial hardship in accessing medical and dental services they otherwise couldn't afford.
This event takes place at the Hanover Township Izaak Walton Youth Center (899 Jay Street, Elgin, IL 60120), where participants can run or walk in the race, visit the sponsorship tables, enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages, and await to see if you placed for a medal at the medal ceremony!
This 3.1 mile course goes through the neighborhood streets of Elgin and loops back to finish at the Hanover Township Izaak Walton Center. All participants will receive an official event T-shirt. Registration is required.
The race will start at 8:00 AM but participants are welcome to arrive as early as 6:30 AM to check in.
