BRIAN P. MCGUIRE - SUPERVISOR

Brian P. McGuire was elected Supervisor of Hanover Township in April of 2009 and sworn into office on May 18, 2009. Prior to his election he was the elected township clerk for six years where he earned statewide recognition for his service to veterans and members of the armed forces by Illinois Operation Support Our Troops and the Illinois Lt. Governor. He established the Township Community Health Nurse Office through proceeds from passport processing fees collected by the clerk's department.
Brian served as a Township Trustee from 1993-2003, earning three statewide awards and working on many new Township programs and initiatives including the open gym program, tutoring services and community
nutrition site.
Brian lives in Bartlett with his wife, Heidi, and their three children, Carly, John, and Kevin. He is a former Captain with the Bartlett Fire Protection District and serves on the Board of Directors for the Bartlett Veterans Memorial Foundation. Prior to serving with the Bartlett Fire District he was a paid on call firefighter for the Village of Streamwood.
Brian is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and St. Edwards Central High School in Elgin. He is employed as the President of the Tooling and Manufacturing Association.

Serving is a habit with Katy Dolan Baumer, who believes that we can only better ourselves through service to others. As Clerk, accurate records maintenance and filing is the number one priority and one that Katy has the experience and ability to tackle.
Katy previously served for four years as Township Board Trustee and was part of a team that insured a stable financial environment. She currently serves as Treasurer for the Township Officials of Cook County Clerks Association, Commissioner on the Blood Commission for the Village of Streamwood, Secretary Pro-tem and charter Board member for the U-46 Education Foundation, member of the Elk Grove Village Lions Club, and Director of the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce,
She served for 12 years as Trustee to the Poplar Creek Library Board during the building of the addition and feels that continuing service is the key to a healthy community. In addition Katy held the position of Secretary for the Streamwood Lions Club for nine years, was President of the Streamwood Chamber of Commerce for four consecutive terms, served as board member and past Secretary to the Hanover Township Mental Health Board, past Lioness Chair for Lions District 1-J, and Lioness Co-Chair for the State of Illinois Lions.
Katy is a resident of Streamwood and owns Katy's All Types Services desktop publishing, located in the Village, and as such, is very concerned about the business environment, taxes and the community's welfare. "It is an honor and privilege to serve the residents of Hanover Township in the capacity of Clerk," she stated.

THOMAS S. SMOGOLSKI - ASSESSOR

Thomas S. Smogolski was elected as the Township Assessor in 2001.
Tom, his wife Cathy, and their three children, Kayla and twins Amanda and Jeffrey live in Bartlett. Tom and Cathy have lived in Bartlett since 1989.
Tom holds the SRA designation from the Appraisal Institute, which he was awarded in 1989 and the CIAO designation from the State of Illinois with over 600 hours of classroom and support classes. Tom is a licensed Certified Residential Appraiser and a licensed Real Estate Broker in Illinois. He has had his own real estate appraising business since 1983.
Tom is also a member of the Bartlett Chamber of Commerce, Illinois Assessors Association and the Cook County Township Assessors Association. Tom brings a strong knowledge of real estate to the Assessor's office.

P. CRAIG OCHOA - HIGHWAY COMMISSIONER

Craig Ochoa was appointed to the position of Hanover Township Highway Commissioner in March of 2007 (which was left vacant by Timothy O. Schneider who was elected as Cook County Commissioner for the 15th District in November of 2006).
As the new Highway Commissioner, Mr. Ochoa wants to continue the programs and progress Mr. Schneider and staff have accomplished over the last 10 years by ensuring that the “unincorporated” road system and bridges safely meet the challenges ahead. We want to develop a long term, strategic plan to resurface our Township roads and ensure they are maintained and are ready to meet the future and growing demands set by our residents.
As we continue to expand, Mr. Ochoa wants to make sure the Highway Department strives to bring it’s residents excellent service by furthering the development of our brush pick-up program and maintaining the very high level of fiscal responsibility for the department and Township. In the last 8 years, under Mr. Schneider, the Road
District’s budget has remained exactly the same without any increase which Mr. Ochoa hope to maintain in the coming years.
Mr. Ochoa is the President of his own business within the Township called You’re #1, Inc. which specializes in imprinted promotional advertising products and corporate gift. He has served as a Board of Director for both the Bartlett and Streamwood Chamber of Commences. He is the immediate past President of the Bartlett Chamber. He also sits as one of the Board of Directors for Harris Bank.
Mr. Ochoa is an 19 year resident of Bartlett and lives with his wife and three daughters. In addition, Mr. Ochoa is a 26 year veteran professional football and basketball referee working mostly in the Big 10 Football Conference and the Arena League. |

In Februrary, Frank was appointed to the Collectors position by the Township Board and is anxious to continue brining informative seminars and homeowner programs to the residents of Hanover Township at little or no cost. For the past fourteen years, Frank has been an active particpant in youth sports as a coach and board member. Frank has tried his best to inspire the children in our community to become good citizens and inspire those around them to do the same.
It is Frank's goal to bring our youth community together with our seniors, and try to create an appreciation for one another.

Sandra Westlund-Deenihan has served as the President and Design Engineer of Quality Float Works, Inc. since 1995.

She was appointed to the Hanover Township Board of Trustees in November 2007. Sandra holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona. Sandra and her husband, Maurice, reside in Illinois.

WILLIAM T. BURKE - TRUSTEE

William T. Burke was elected as Trustee to the Hanover Township Board in April of 2009, having previously served as Township Tax Collector since April of 2005.
Bill resides in Streamwood with his Wife Sarah and Daughters Brenna and Kaylynn. Having grown up in Streamwood, he attended School District U-46 and Elgin Community College. Employed by the Village of Streamwood Fire Department since 1981 first as a paid-on-call firefighter and full-time firefighter since1986. He currently serves as a Lieutenant/Paramedic and is the long term President of the Streamwood Firefighters Union IAFF Local 3022.
Bill serves as the Township Board liaison to the Hanover Township Mental Health Board and the Hanover Township Public Safety Committee

MARY ALICE BENOIT - TRUSTEE

Mary Alice Benoit, a licensed attorney and former journalist, is a Bartlett resident who has lived in Hanover Township for the past 21 years. She first ventured into community involvement by serving on the board of St. John the Evangelist School in Streamwood. During her six years on the board, she twice served as school board president. Later she helped to run the school’s Athletic Program and served for four years as the Sports Committee Chairperson before taking over the program for three years as its Athletic Director.
In May of 2000, she was appointed to the Hanover Township Mental Health Board where she stayed until her election to the Hanover Board of Trustees in April of 2009. While on the Hanover Township Mental Health Board, she served in every executive officer position available, including two terms as Hanover Township Mental Health Board Chairperson. During her tenure on the Hanover Township Mental Health Board, she and her fellow board members nearly doubled the amount of funding and programming supported by the Hanover Township Mental Health Board. She has long devoted herself to volunteering with youth including children’s community theatre and Girl Scouting and looks forward to finding new ways to serving her community.
Currently she has been appointed as the Senior Services Liaison for the Hanover Township Board of Trustees and looks forward to meeting many new friends throughout Hanover Township.

HOWARD KRICK - TRUSTEE

Howard K. Krick was elected Hanover Township Trustee in April 2009. Howard served from 2004-2009 as Streamwood Park District Commissioner. He also served on the U46 Citizen’s Advisory and Enrollment and Facility councils from 2001-2003. He is also Vice President of the Streamwood Park District Foundation chairing the Fundraising Committee since 2009.
Howard and his family have lived in Streamwood now for 20 years. His 2 children attend Streamwood High School. He is a member of the Kiwani’s in Streamwood. He coaches girls softball and with his own team for 6 years.
Howard is Director of Sales for IGS in West Chicago. He has been in the graphic arts industry for 25 years. He is a member of the Chicago Litho Club. He really believes that being involved in your community can make a difference.

Steve Caramelli - TRUSTEE-ELECT

Steve Caramelli was elected to the Office of Trustee in April, 2013. His philosophy for being an elected official is simple: work hard for the people who got you elected, make the right decisions and be a good listener. As a trustee, he is assigned to the mental health board and the public safety committees.
As a profession, Steve is an Illinois State Trooper and has worked in various job assignments within the Illinois State Police such as district Chicago patrol, the motorcycle enforcement bureau, the executive protection unit, and the riverboat gaming command unit.
He is a member of Life Changers Church, a commissioner for the planning and zoning board for the Village of Hoffman Estates and a member of the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation representing the 44th legislative district.
Steve possesses a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago. He also attended Triton College in River Grove, Holy Cross High School in River Grove (now known as Guerin Prep) and attended St. Francis Borgia grammar school in Chicago.
Steve resides in Hoffman Estates making family a number one priority. He also enjoys gardening, preserving nature and participating in outdoor activities.
