    4-15-17 HTES Emergency Training Drill

    Hanover Township Emergency Services held its full scale exercise on Saturday, April 15 at the Spaulding Road rail yard in unincorporated Cook County. A train was simulated to have hit a vehicle and school bus with agencies responding to treat victims and assess the scene. Thank you to the 18 agencies and organizations for coordinating and participating.

    5/23/17 Mobile Food Pantry

    On May 23, Hanover Township and the Streamwood Kiwanis Club sponsored a Mobile Food Pantry at the Township's William Tiknis Campus in Bartlett. Over 100 residents braved the weather to receive food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank. Thank you to our sponsor and our volunteers!

    5th Annual Job Fair

    On Wednesday, March 30, Hanover Township and State Representative Fred Crespo held their 5th Annual Job Fair at the Hanover Township Senior Center in Bartlett. Hundreds of residents attended and submitted resumes to over 65 area vendors.

    6th Annual Job Fair

    Hanover Township and State Representative Fred Crespo hosted their 6th Annual Job Fair earlier today at the Township Senior Center. Hundreds of residents attended and over 77 companies were onsite collecting resumes and conducting onsite interviews.

    The Hanover Township officials met on Tuesday, August 2 at the Township's Izaak Walton Center & Reserve to induct a resident into the Township's Veterans' Honor Roll, approve a mutual aid agreement for the Township's Emergency Services Unit and receive an update on the Mental Health Housing Task Force.

    9/20/16 Mobile Food Pantry

    Hanover Township hosted a Northern Illinois Food Bank Mobile Food Pantry on Tuesday, September 20 with Immanuel United Church of Christ of Streamwood. Over 130 Township families received food as a result of the generous support!

    A Matter of Time - Senior Services Original Production

    On Friday, May 20, Hanover Township Senior Services put on their first ever, original production titled "A Matter of Time". Over 60 residents attended and enjoyed the production. All marionettes were hand-crafted by Township Senior Center artists.

    Astor Avenue Christmas Party 2016

    Hanover Township youth celebrated Christmas early on December 15 with crafts, snacks, and a visit from Santa Claus at the Astor Avenue Community Center in Hanover Park!

    Autumn Nature Walk 11-1-16

    November 1st boasted temperatures of 75 degrees and sunny! The Hanover Township Office of Community Health hosted an Autumn Nature Walk at the Izaak Walton Center & Reserve in Elgin. 19 Township residents enjoyed today's weather with fresh air and exercise!

    Auxiliary Staff Appreciation Dinner 2017

    January 17, 2017 the Township hosted its annual Auxiliary Staff Appreciation Dinner for over 50 members of the Welfare Services Auxiliary Staff. Volunteers were recognized for their years of service with a dinner served by staff and Supervisor Brian P. McGuire!

    Board meeting 1.9.18

    The Hanover Township Board of Trustees met to recognize several community groups for their support of the Township's holiday programs and inducted Streamwood resident J.D. Rucker into the Veterans' Honor Roll. The Board also approved a new policy that prohibits sexual harassment and approved the paying of bills.

    The Hanover Township Board of Trustees met to approve the tax levies and appointed new members to the Township's Committee on Youth. The Hanover Township Foundation was also recognized by The Veterans Network Committee of Northern Illinois for its support of the Honor Flight Program.

    The Hanover Township Board of Trustees met and recognized several outstanding community groups for their support of the Township's holiday programs. Thank you to Mary's Millennium Council #12801, Knights of Columbus, Bark Avenue Daycamp, Schaumburg Jaycees and the Bartlett Rotary Club!

    Board Meeting 2.6.18

    A lot of what we do wouldn't be possible without our community partners and friends. We had a lot of them out at this week's board meeting presenting them with appreciation plaques for their support of the Food Pantry, our Adopt-A-Senior program, and the Township foundation. Those recognized include: Streamwood Guns n Hoses Association, Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, Groot Industries - West Chicago, Rodin, Village of Bartlett and Mike Tompkins & Matt Mulvey. The board also inducted Edward Farrugia of Bartlett into the Veterans' Honor Roll.

    Cook County Board President Preckwinkle Community Roundtable

    Hanover Township hosted Cook County Commissioner Tim Schneider's 15th District Community Roundtable Event with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle today at the Hanover Township Senior Center. Over 30 municipal and business leaders from the 15th district attended the event. The attendees had many great discussions on economic development, building and zoning issues, health services and forest preserves.
