Commissioner OchoaCraig Ochoa was appointed to the position of Hanover Township Highway Commissioner in March of 2007 (which was left vacant by Timothy O. Schneider who was elected as Cook County Commissioner for the 15th District in November of 2006).

As the new Highway Commissioner, Mr. Ochoa wants to continue the programs and progress Mr. Schneider and staff have accomplished over the last 10 years by ensuring that the “unincorporated” road system and bridges safely meet the challenges ahead. We want to develop a long term, strategic plan to resurface our Township roads and ensure they are maintained and are ready to meet the future and growing demands set by our residents.

As we continue to expand, Mr. Ochoa wants to make sure the Highway Department strives to bring it’s residents excellent service by furthering the development of our brush pick-up program and maintaining the very high level of fiscal responsibility for the department and Township. In the last  8 years, under Mr. Schneider, the Road
District’s budget has remained exactly the same without any increase which Mr. Ochoa hope to maintain in the coming years.

Mr. Ochoa is the President of his own business within the Township called You’re #1, Inc. which specializes in imprinted promotional advertising products and corporate gift. He has served as a Board of Director for both the Bartlett and Streamwood Chamber of Commences. He is the immediate past President of the Bartlett Chamber. He also sits as one of the Board of Directors for Harris Bank.

Mr. Ochoa is an 19 year resident of Bartlett and lives with his wife and three daughters. In addition, Mr. Ochoa is a 26 year veteran professional football and basketball referee working mostly in the Big 10 Football Conference and the Arena League.
