Hanover Township to offer summer tutoring
Children in grades 2nd through 8th are eligible to enroll
The Hanover Township Summer Tutoring Program will begin Monday, June 3 and run through Monday, July 29. The program is designed specifically to address reading and math skills, and focuses on continued learning so children can return to school with less difficulty and with minimal learning loss.
Township tutors are primary and secondary certified teachers that work closely with students to ensure growth without the stress. The summer tutoring program will meet on Monday evenings at Hanover Township Youth and Family Services, 250 South IL Route 59, Bartlett. Children in grades 2nd through 8th are eligible to enroll. The fee is $45 per child.
Tutors work in small groups to promote the questioning of materials and encourages children to learn best at their own pace. Tutoring groups have a maximum of four students per tutor giving students ample attention individually as well as opportunities for group learning.
