Hanover Township Accepting Applications for new Diversity and Engagement Task Force
All residents are encouraged to apply
The Hanover Township Board of Trustees is seeking to fill nine spots on its newly established Diversity and Engagement Task Force.
“Hanover Township is proud of the many different cultures and backgrounds that make up our community,” said Brian P. McGuire, Township Supervisor. “The goal of this Task Force is to ensure the Township is being inclusive and proactive in serving all segments of our population.”
Created by the board last month, the Task Force is responsible for assessing the status of diversity within the Township as it relates to programming, services, and personnel. Members will also investigate circumstances that appear to inhibit diversity and community engagement within the Township. Following the conclusion of their work, the Task Force will submit their findings to the board with recommendations.
The Township Supervisor will appoint members to the Task Force for one-year terms. Individuals seeking to apply can pick up an application at the Town Hall, 240 S. IL Route 59, Bartlett, or visit www.hanover-township.org/government/boards-committees .
