Hanover Township Senior Services is seeking an organized team player to join our Nutrition Services team. The Home Delivered Meals assistant is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community and serve older adults of Hanover Township. The Home Delivered Meal Assistant will work under the supervision of the Senior Services Nutrition Manager; this part time 25 hour weekly (9  AM to 2 PM) is $13.00 per hour. The position is responsible for providing direct assistance for daily operations of the Home Delivered Meals Program by coordinating meal packaging and delivery to homebound residents of Hanover Township. The Home Delivered Meal Assistant  position assists with the preparation and serving of meals to senior residents of Hanover Township that meet required nutritional guidelines and aids in ensuring meal quality, freshness, and safety. In addition, this position adheres to sanitation procedures set out by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Cook County, the Village of Bartlett, and the Hanover Township Senior Center to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment at all times. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, one-year experience in a food related field. Bilingual is helpful. A full job description can be found here.
