Hanover Township Department of Senior Services is seeking a qualified Bus Driver for day trips and outings for active older adults.  This position entails weekly day trips to Chicago and other suburban locations.  The position is intended as a fill-in position to provide additional support when needed to the Senior Services Transportation Division.  When additional Bus Drivers are needed, this position may include the transportation of older adults and disabled individuals to and from their residence to attend medical and personal appointments.  Hanover Township Senior Services Dial-A-Bus program provides curb-to-curb services and operates Monday through Friday from 7:30AM to 3:30PM, with occasional weekend and evening transportation needs. 

This position does not have set hours but may include up to 16 hours per week.  Candidates must have their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement, current Department of Transportation physical card signed by a certified physician and at least two years’ experience in transportation.  Experience working with older adults and familiarity of the Hanover Township area is a plus.
