Hanover Township Youth and Family Services is seeking a full-time Prevention and Volunteer Coordinator who is highly motivated, creative and energetic to oversee Hanover Township’s Alternative to Suspension Program. The Prevention and Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the implementation, oversight and evaluation of the Alternative to Suspension Program. This position is also responsible for recruiting and training the department’s volunteers. Creativity and passion in building and maintaining positive relationships with hard to reach youth, their parents and community partners is required. Knowledge, creativity and experience in social media marketing is preferred.
The Prevention and Volunteer Coordinator position is a full time, 40 hours per week, (Monday-Friday), 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services or related field is required with one year of experience in program planning or volunteer management. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Salary is $40,000 plus an excellent benefits package including major medical coverage, vision, dental, life insurance, and retirement through the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
