Understanding and Recognizing Style, Part III

Saturday, July 27
10:30 – 11:30 A.M.                                                    Donation: $6
This presentation begins at the dawn of the modern era: Neoclassicism through early 20th century "isms." Participants will discover the visual clues that signal the style period or movement from which the work originates. The information is intended to make art lovers visually literate and to understand art at a glance, even if the work of art is unfamiliar, based on the use of visual elements, principles of design and subject matter. Local artist and art history professor, Denise Laurin-Donatelle will discuss.  Registration required. (max 40)
